Meta Pauses Muse Chat-Sharing After 'GhostShares' Leak Exposed ~6,800 Links
Security firm Claroc found that Muse chat-share links (conversation titles embedded in subdomains, written to public DNS) were discoverable via passive DNS search — they enumerated ~6,800 links, some containing sensitive data like small-business loan applications and bank fraud alerts with partial account numbers. After Ars Technica's questions, Meta confirmed on Oct 20 it suspended the sharing feature pending review.
