Meta prepares 'Muse Confidential VM' with user-held encryption keys
Code in Muse's web interface reveals a planned Confidential VM mode: the entire VM (data plus conversations) encrypted with keys only the user holds, so Meta cannot access the data and it is not used for training. Initial limits: subscriber-only, no voice mode, image/video generation, or wearables at launch. Meta previously promised it before end of 2026. There are also signs of Muse web access opening in the EU.
