Muse Spark Open: license terms and detailed benchmarks
Meta's 816B-parameter open-weight model (42B active per token, 1M context) ships under the Muse Model License, which requires Model-as-a-Service providers above $20M in annual revenue to sign a separate agreement with Meta. Meta's own benchmarks score it 39 on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index — behind GLM 5.3 and Kimi K3 — but 89.2 on MCP-Atlas, ahead of both. Read the self-reported numbers with salt; the $20M clause is the real constraint for commercial hosting.
