Meta quietly signs some Muse web requests with Web Bot Auth
DataDome's threat research chief reports that Meta began testing Web Bot Auth signatures on Muse and Meta-WebIndexer traffic around October 12, letting websites verify that an automated visitor genuinely comes from Meta. The move follows a wave of sites blocking agents that do not identify themselves, but Meta has not announced it and only a small share of requests carry signatures so far.
